Kennebunkport is best known as the Bush family’s summer residence. Like that political dynasty, I’ve also visited the area for decades — not in a compound, sadly — sunning myself with a Walkman on Mother’s Beach, devouring pancakes at the old Arundel Inn, and trying my very first steamers at Nunan’s Lobster Hut.
