Letters: Garbage collection needs to take historic districts into account

For most residents of historic neighborhoods, the large garbage cans provided to residents are too large to be stowed off the sidewalk. As a result, residents are forced to leave the bins in the public right of way, permanently.I first encountered this problem when I moved from Uptown to the Marigny in 2009.
