Mets hire Scott Havens to finally fill president of business operations void

After waiting out David Stearns to be their president of baseball operations, the Mets have finally found his counterpart on the business side. The club on Monday announced M. Scott Havens as their new president of business operations, with Steve Cohen filling a role that had been open since Sandy Alderson transitioned to an advisory role last year.
