Eight-man football: MDI shuts out Greely to win its first state title

BANGOR — For the first time in school history, the Mt. Desert Island trophy case is getting a gold football. MDI quarterback Spencer Laurendeau ran for 145 yards and scored a touchdown to lead the Trojans to a 28-0 win over Greely in the eight-man Large School state championship game at Cameron Stadium.
