Remembering ‘bighearted’ film programmer Doug Jones, who helped relaunch Vidiots

The tightknit independent film community was shaken this week by the unexpected death of veteran programmer, curator and exhibitor Doug Jones at age 53. Most recently, Jones was deeply involved in helping relaunch Vidiots as a movie theater and video store, one that instantly became a vital hub for film culture in Los Angeles.
