150 dolphins die in Amazon lake within a week as water temps surpass 100 degrees amid extreme drought

An ongoing drought in the Amazon — combined with the effects of climate change and El Niño — caused temperatures in Brazil's Lake Tefé to soar and led to the deaths of more than 150 dolphins at the end of September, officials said.
