Ascension Parish deputy arrested, fired after accusations of using excessive force

Update: Ascension Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested one of their own over allegations of use of excessive force, a spokesman said Wednesday. The deputy, who was not immediately named, has already been fired, according to Donovan Jackson, sheriff's spokesman. The alleged abuse happened while the deputy was responding to a domestic violence call, he said. Sheriff Bobby Webre is expected to provide more details later Wednesday... + full article
