Pig carcasses on Mississippi River Bridge caused lane closures, cleanup Tuesday, officials say

After pigs fell from a truck on the I-10 Mississippi River Bridge late Tuesday night, the two westbound lanes were closed until the bridge could be cleared of the carcasses, State Police said.All lanes reopened at about 11 p.m. Tuesday night.It was unclear if the pigs were alive when they fell from the truck or if the truck was carrying slaughtered livestock.  This is a developing story.  Email Ellyn Couvillion at .
