Extreme heat, pollution doubles fatal heart attack risk, study says

The combination of extreme heat and high air pollution can nearly double a person's risk of suffering a fatal heart attack, according to a study published in the American Heart Association’s journal The study included an analysis of 202,000 heart attacks that occurred in the Jiangsu province of China from 2015 to 2020.
