Hearing aids may reduce dementia progression for at-risk patients, study finds

DENVER () — A new study published in medical journal this week shows people with a high risk of developing dementia could cut that risk by 48% with the use of hearing aids. “This was really an exciting study,” said Dr. Julie Prutsman at Sound Relief Hearing Center in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. “We’ve known for years that there is a connection or a link between untreated hearing loss and cognitive decline or dementia.” Researchers... + full article
