Inflation slowed to 3 percent in June, hits lowest rate in two years

Consumer prices rose 3 percent annually in June and 0.2 percent last month alone, according to inflation data released Wednesday by the Labor Department. The consumer price index (CPI) posted its smallest annual increase since March 2021, as inflation fell from a 4 percent .
