Scattered showers, thunderstorms in forecast amid Fourth of July celebrations

Let freedom rain. Forecasted showers and thunderstorms may put a damper on the long Fourth of July weekend — though rain may clear in time for New Yorkers to enjoy fireworks Tuesday night.
