Lilli Vincenz, early activist in gay rights movement, dies at 85

Dr. Lilli Vincenz, an activist who was a central – if long unsung – figure in the early years of the gay rights movement, died June 27 at a care facility in Oakton, Va. She was 85. A friend, Bob Brown, confirmed her death but did not cite a cause.
