I was grateful and encouraged to see Baton Rouge Mayor Weston Broome’s extensive letter on litter in the June 29 Advocate edition. The letter focused primarily on cleanup and its costs, types of litter, and reducing creation of single-use plastics. She did state that a cultural shift toward litter is needed.
