When it comes to slowing the crisis of preventable opioid overdose deaths in Maine, it’s time we collectively cried mercy. Despite our state’s best efforts, the number of deaths have only increased in recent years. Overdoses claimed the lives of 716 of our neighbors, friends and family members in 2022.
