Toxic algae bloom at Pahokee Marina prompts health alert

PAHOKEE, Fla. — A health alert was issued Tuesday for the presence of toxic algae at the Pahokee Marina. Blue-green algal toxins were found following water samples taken on June 1, according to the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County.  Officials said the public should exercise caution in and around the marina.
