Portland city councilors will support some changes to citizen referendum process

Members of Portland’s City Council say they will support some reforms to the citizen-initiated referendum process. Mayor Kate Snyder and councilors agreed during a workshop Monday night that it is for revisions to Chapter 9, the city code governing citizen referendum questions, which has not been changed since 1991.
