Man died in a Bennington police cell from drug overdose, autopsy finds

BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A man who died alone in a Bennington police holding cell this spring ingested a large amount of drugs that had been “concealed in his person” and he was killed by “acute mixed drug intoxication,” the state police said Monday.On Monday, the Vermont Health Department released the death certificate for Darrell Jones, 33, of Easton, Pennsylvania, that found his death was caused by the ingestion of fentanyl, heroin... + full article
