Gunman in 2022 California church shooting indicted on 98 charges, including hate crimes

The gunman accused of killing one person and wounding five others last year at a Taiwanese church in California has been indicted on 98 charges including dozens of federal hate crimes. The indictment was announced Thursday by the U.S. Department of Justice, which says that David Chou, of Las Vegas, was motivated by political hatred of Taiwan when he opened fire at the church in May 2022.
