Letters: Link lawmaker pay to state minimum wage

I would like to comment on the article of a few weeks ago about the pay for state representatives. believes that $16,800 is too low of a salary for a “part-time” position and he has filed House Bill 149 to raise the pay of state legislators. I will agree that for the work and outside time they put into the position, that salary is low. However, I think that $60,000 a year, as the bill originally proposed, is too high.
