Amazon to lay off 9,000 more workers as tech industry shakiness continues

Amazon said Monday it was laying off another 9,000 workers in the latest example of tech industry shakiness. A round of layoffs that began in November and extended into January has already affected more than 18,000 workers at the company. The latest cuts were announced in a memo to staff from CEO Andy Jassy that was made public on Monday. The previous layoffs targeted the retail, devices, recruiting and human resources groups.
