UCF accepts NIT bid to square off with UF and extend the season

The UCF men’s basketball season is not over yet. In a surprise, the Knights (18-14, 8-10 AAC) accepted a bid to the National Invitation Tournament late Sunday night, it was announced during the NIT selection show on ESPNU. UCF will travel to No. 4 seed Florida (16-16, 9-9 SEC) on Wednesday in the first round at O’Connell Center (ESPN2, 7 p.m.).
