‘Americans are angry’: Consumer complaints about credit-reporting issues rose by 96% in one year

In 2022, the CFPB published 800,394 complaints from consumers, a 61% increase from the previous year, where 496,000 complaints were filed. Within this group, credit-reporting complaints increased by 96% from 2021 to 2022.
