Former Arizona detention officer accused of smuggling meth, fentanyl into Phoenix jail arrested again

A former Arizona correctional officer who was detained in January for allegedly attempting to smuggle narcotics into a Phoenix jail was arrested again on Friday for failing to appear in court. Andres Salazar, 27, was taken into custody by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension and Tactical Enforcement and Desert Hawk Violent Crimes Task Force for two outstanding warrants.
