Last year, the Legislature passed a 15-week ban on abortions in Florida. The governor signed it into law. Now state Sen. Erin Grall from Vero Beach and Rep. Jenna Persons-Mulicka from Fort Myers have filed bills to, among other things, extend the ban to six weeks and make it a felony to perform or actively participate in an abortion after that time. Whether one supports this ban or opposes it, perhaps some clarity of the reasoning behind it... + full article
