U.S. intercepts Russian warplanes off Alaska twice in two days

U.S. military jets intercepted Russian bombers and fighter jets off the coast of Alaska on two consecutive days this week, officials said Thursday. Air Force F-35s intercepted four Russian aircraft on Tuesday — two bombers and two fighter jets — according to North American Aerospace Defense Command. The day before, four other Russian aircraft were intercepted while flying “over neutral waters of the Chukchi Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk.”... + full article
