The Cherokee Nation on Monday unveiled plans for an $18 million substance abuse treatment center, funded with a portion of $98 million in opioid settlement money it received from drug manufacturers and distributors. The first tribally operated addiction treatment center will be 17,000 square feet and include 50 beds with cultural amenities including stickball fields and courts for playing basketball and marbles, the nation said in a statement.... + full article
