WASHINGTON — Nestlé Purina PetCare Companyfor some lots of its prescription dog food, Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EL Elemental, due to potentially elevated levels of vitamin D. While vitamin D is an essential nutrient for dogs, too much can cause vitamin D toxicity.
