Orlando deploys federal funds to house people living in Parramore tents

City and homeless services officials are hopeful a rush of federal funds will help house a few dozen chronically unsheltered people, who have pitched tents throughout Parramore. The city is awarding the nonprofit Christian Service Center with about $617,000 to house between 20 and 50 people in an apartment or hotel for as long as 12 months, according to the agreement.
