Car crash leads to arrest of Ascension Parish sheriff's deputy on DWI counts, department says

A sheriff's deputy was arrested on DWI counts after he allegedly crashed his car while driving under the influence, the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said. According to a press release from Sheriff Bobby Webre, deputies responded to a crash on Highway 44 in Galvez around 4:15 a.m.At the scene, they discovered the driver, identified as APSO patrol deputy Curley Jones, uninjured. Webre said the officers who pulled Jones over... + full article
