Florida high school graduation rate drops as test rules returns

Florida’s high school graduation rate fell as expected in 2022 as the state again required students to pass math and language arts exams to earn a diploma, the state announced Friday. Testing waivers put in place during the pandemic meant thousands of students in the classes of 2020 and 2021 graduated who would not have if they had to pass the exams.
