More than 31,000 Central Maine Power Co. customers were without power Wednesday night as the result of a storm that brought high winds and heavy rain to southern Maine. As of 9 p.m., a total of 31,594 customers had lost power, with most of the outages concentrated in Cumberland, York and Kennebec counties.
