Why has been so high?There are two main causes. The first is the disruption of the global economy caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The second is Russia’s invasion and war in Ukraine. Russia’s war drove up crude oil prices due to sanctions imposed on Russian oil by many nations.The causes are global, not domestic.
