Sanford police investigating shooting chief calls ‘cold and calculated’

Two people were shot — and one 18-year-old was killed — in a weekend shooting in Sanford, police said. Officers were called to the shooting about 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Apartments on Island Bay Circle, off State Road 46 south of Lake Monroe, arriving to find a car in the parking lot that had “obvious” gunfire damage, police spokesperson Bianca Gillett said in a press release.
