With this year’s hurricane season creeping to a close, I have a few reflective points for coastal Floridians to ponder. Hurricane Ian decimated parts of Fort Myers, Pine Island, Sanibel Island, and others. Sea level rise is very real. The storm surge was incredibly massive and towns that sit at nearly sea level had no chance. Over 115 people died because of the 10-to-15 foot storm surge.
