Meta is laying off thousands, putting the company’s Kendall Square future in question

Meta Platforms, formerly known as Facebook, began laying off 11,000 employees Wednesday, a move that impacts its presence in Kendall Square, where the company just months ago was.It’s unclear so far how many people lost their jobs at the local office.
