Letter to the editor: Coverage fails to capture irony in Portland restaurant’s shortage of CO2

The article (Maine Sunday Telegram, Oct. 23) was interesting but failed to even mention an obvious irony: Excessive releases of CO2 – by power plants, cars, home heating systems; even people and animals exhaling several times a minute – are wrecking the planet’s climate day after day. And yet this restaurant has bottled CO2 shipped from Florida, where the gas is made as a byproduct of ammonia or ethanol production. The question arises: Why... + full article
