In response to ’s letter urging an “assault weapon” ban, it should be noted that we already have one, if you define the term correctly. The correct definition, in my view as a firearm instructor and the author of two books on guns, is this: A weapon that can be used by a criminal to assault someone.That is the only definition that makes sense.
