PayPal Crushes Earnings Estimates. The Stock Is Falling Anyway.

All figures came in well ahead of forecasts of analysts surveyed by FactSet who expected the payments company to earn 63 cents per share on a GAAP basis, or adjusted earnings of 96 cents per share on revenue of $6.8 billion. In the year-ago quarter, PayPal posted GAAP earnings of 92 cents per share on revenue of $6.2 billion.
