Malaysia Central Bank Raises Rate By 25 Bps

Malaysia's central bank raised its benchmark rate by a quarter-point for the fourth straight meeting, on Thursday. The Monetary Policy Committee of Bank Negara Malaysia decided to hike the Overnight Policy Rate by 25 basis points to 2.75 percent. The ceiling and floor rates of the corridor of the OPR are correspondingly increased to 3.00 percent and 2.50 percent, respectively.
