Letters: Old Metairie tree ordinance revisions abusive to property owners

This letter is written in response to the Times-Picayune article of Sept. 28 about the Old Metairie and Metairie Ridge .The revised ordinance is the closest thing to communist dictatorship that I have seen in my entire American life. The parish council has taken a very bad ordinance and made it absolutely deplorable.It is absurd to require tree protection fences around front yard trees when swimming pools are being constructed in backyards.
