Kennebunk family’s nonprofit spreads joy by offering free Christmas trees to those in need

Alex and AnneMarie Gramling started donating Christmas trees to people in need in 2010 in Massachusetts, and since then, they have expanded donation sites across the country, including three in Maine. Gregory Rec/Staff Photographer Alex Gramling just wanted to get rid of a tree. It was an artificial tree he found while decluttering his home in southern New Hampshire in 2010.
