The real reason Faubourg Brewery's expansion plans are off was in newspaper recently.It was supposed to expand into a 24-hour operation, but employees couldn’t be found to work the midnight shift in the crime-infested area. Add to this the high taxes and the overcharge by the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board which contributed to its closure.
