Toll roads are common in Texas and Florida, two states that many Louisiana leaders want to emulate in many ways.But because of public backlash, and complaints by trucking companies , a plan to build a vitally needed new bridge across the Calcasieu River in Lake Charles has seen heavy going for political reasons.
