We’re 54, have $4.5 million in savings but don’t know how to withdraw it in retirement. What should we do?

I understand the 4% rule, but when it comes to taking the money, is it better to have a set monthly, quarterly, or annual withdrawal, or is it better to take a lump sum? I can see myself going crazy trying to time market tops in order to take distributions. I was planning to take money off the table after the peak in 2021.
