CAMBRIDGE — A day after a woman was struck by overhead equipment at Harvard station, the MBTA said a utility box had fallen because of “corrosion on the support straps” that secured it to a column on the platform.Phillip Eng, who took over as the MBTA’s general manager last month, has ordered an inspection of support straps at all Red Line stations, the only subway line with that type of configuration, MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said... + full article
