Asian markets trading mostly lower as inflation worries linger

Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 edged 0.3% higher and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was virtually unchanged. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index gained 0.2%. South Korea’s Kospi lost 0.3% and the Shanghai Composite index declined 0.7%. On Wednesday, the S&P 500 inched down by less than 0.1%, to 4,154.42.
