A magnitude 4.5 earthquake was reported Tuesday afternoon at 3:23 p.m. three miles from Hollister, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake occurred 15 miles from Prunedale, 16 miles from Gilroy, 17 miles from Salinas, and 22 miles from Soledad. In the last 10 days, there have been four earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby. An average of 25 earthquakes with magnitudes between 4.0 and 5.0 occur per year... + full article
