Part of the vacant Tangelo Park YMCA building will soon be demolished as Orange County renovates the 40-year-old structure. The office and recreation complex, adjacent to Tangelo Park Elementary School in the predominantly Black working-class neighborhood, closed temporarily in March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic but was permanently shuttered two years ago this month.
