Rep. Amesty files bill to ban TikTok on government devices

After the federal government took a similar step, a Florida House Republican from Windermere wants to ban users of government-issued cell phones and other devices from downloading the TikTok social-media app. Rep. Carolina Amesty, elected to her first term in November, filed the bill Tuesday in advance of the Florida legislative session, which begins on March 7.
